Went to the photography studio the other day to take photos of my work for the show catalogue. I’m quite pleased with the results. Will be making some big macrame soon as I’m getting 900meters of wire delivered today. Hopefully that will be enough.
Knitter-Natter
More latex exploration, attempting to create tendons and vein like structures and take photos of them at a macro level. The anatomy book is coming in very useful for this part. These images remind me of the slides of cells I viewed in the lab, which was the catalyst for this whole body of work.
I got told yesterday that my pieces were too real and I had to make them prettier. Not a chance fools! I don’t think I’ll be sewing on any sequins on in a hurry. Hopefully I’ll have some images of my next creation, the “meat curtain” up here soon.
I’ve been experimenting alot with latex recently, attempting to put some meat on my bones. I’m really enjoying myself and the results are amazingly visceral! Love it !

Ahhhh, I haven’t tumbled for awhile! Terrible! The main reason is the on going battle of epic proportions with that pesky dissertation.
